Aton Biotech – A Henlius Company is the fast-growing CDMO company which is committed to enabling biological drug development and manufacturing for clients with an integrated bio-pharmaceutical platform. Our service ranges from cell line development to clinical and end-to-end CDMO commercial manufacturing services, including development of mammalian expressed monoclonal antibodies, fusion proteins, bispecific antibodies, ADC, etc. Aton Biotech has two R&D &manufacturing sites in Shanghai. Both are equipped with the latest technology and fully compliant with the cGMP requirement of the NMPA, EMA and FDA.


Position Summary:

Reporting to the Chief Business Officer, the Director of Business Development is responsible for bridging the science between Aton Biotech – A Henlius Company and its partners. There is a unique opportunity to join the Business Development team, to focus on our service offering from drug development to drug manufacturing of Drug substance to Drug Product to rapidly increase our customer base. The Director’s development and manufacturing background will guide all aspects of partnerships ranging from small biotech to large pharma partners to biological drug solutions to integrated biopharmaceutical platforms from clinal to commercialization.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Target prospects to leverage potential new business opportunities within assigned territory.
  • Establish strong, long-term relationships with economic buyers within the Account and develop in-depth knowledge of the client’s organization.
  • Be conscious and respond to customer needs in order to define potential opportunities.
  • Maintain awareness of competitive activities, positioning, and pricing, which includes specific reasons for WIN and LOST analysis.
  • Develop appropriate account strategy and solution to assigned territory.
  • Coordinate, develop, and manage contracts / proposals by working with operations and various department heads.
  • Identify and adapt successful strategies and tactics to meet market demands and financial targets.
  • Will be high visibility within customer organization and maintain customer satisfaction by communicating regularly with customer.
  • Record all customer sales related activities in CRM system.
  • Prepare sales activity report for Sales Management as required.
  • Serve as a liaison between the customer and technical and operational groups.
  • Understand all Henlius Companies services for appropriate cross-sell opportunities.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.
